Payment Failed

Situation

A payment attempt returns a failure response, or the client receives an error during execution.

Why this is not purely a technical problem

A failure response does not always mean that no execution occurred. Payment systems may process requests asynchronously or partially.

Risk boundary

Retrying a failed payment may result in: - Duplicate charges - Inconsistent transaction records - Responsibility being shifted to the system

Judgment note

When execution results are irreversible, failure alone is not sufficient justification for retry. A legitimacy check is required before continuing.
